system update 1.17 and wifi issue 4 tech support

tested it a few times i believe this update 1.17 multitask is creating the wifi connection issue with the maxisys is even worse with the 908 tested it more than 10 times every single time same results first after the update the tool becomes unresponsive then after a reboot the wireless connection does not work after a good 40 second or more when trying to update it takes a while even longer on the 908 then while updating if connection was made it looses wifi connectivity only on autel server everywhere else is fine I then uninstall software reboot tool the wireless was up almost instantly went to update the system software update shows up instantly but nothing else can be found until this is downloaded again i don't know anything about androids but this can't be right -

I was playing late last night and found the same thing. My 908 seems to be faster
when 1.17 is uninstalled. I had just posted to tech support the findings. Thanks again

your welcome yes that seems to be the problem i think. I also sent the complaint but decided to post it here as well for everyone to see there may be others with same issue but haven't yet noticed this will probably help lets wait and see what they have to say about this tonight i will let you know -

You guys are not wrong, I have the same issue on my 905, it works just fine when I reset it back to factory defaults no internet issues and no time outs, until I update to 1.17. I also noticed after the update every once a while during a Power on or Reboot it says " unfortunately Maxisys Stopped Responding" and it asks you to press ok. This only happens after updating to 1.17 It seems as there is something wrong within the code. Too bad we are forced to download the update first before we can access manufacturer updates. -

i just updated my 905 with the maxisys1.17 and i was able to download all the updates with no problem.maybe something in your settings has to be changed to on or off -

The 905 seems to be working ok most of the time but not the 908 it looses
connection sometimes while trying to update but it could be something wrong with
the settings who knows -

Ok I now think this is more related to network than anything else I took both unit and
connect them to a comcast network they both responded equally I was able to
download updates wih no problem at all went and connect them back to att network
same old issue both network had the same down and up load speed but for some
reason it works on comcast does this make sence to anyone? -

I'm on charter communications at home and some places, and some at&t at others. So
it may be possible that its problems on multiple networks but why only after 1.17
update? -

Yes you also have a point there the tool does run faster without it could be a
combination of both ver 1.17 and network issue they are working on it let's see what
they find will let you know

Just received o.s. update 01.02.02. The system speed is back if not a little faster but it
has not fixed the downloading problem. Maybe there is another update coming for the
maxisys app. Just a little confused because the o.s. update was released 3-31-14 but
was told 01.02.01 was current just a few days ago.
